Get certified by learning the English and café skills you need to complete a TAFE Barista Course. Impact’s Barista class will teach you how to make coffee and provide you with work experience at Impact's Café Impresso and work placement at a TAFE's Coffee Academy.

Barista Kickstart Program

Want to experience working in a local café?

The Kickstart program is a great opportunity for Barista students to work and gain experience in a local café. After completing intensive workshops to build their confidence as a barista, students are able to get experience in all café duties for a period of 2 weeks and have lots of interaction with Australian customers.

This 3-week program includes:

Week 1: Kickstart Workshops

  • 1 on 1 interview
  • 1-hour workplace culture session
  • 1-hour communication workshop
  • Individual evaluation and feedback session
  • Extra barista practise at Café Impresso

Week 2 - Week 3: Work experience in a local café (10-20 hours per week).

Terms & Conditions:

This program will take place after successful completion of the Barista/Café English course. Placement within 1-5 weeks after completion of the Barista course. Notice of cancellation of the program must be given 14 days prior to commencement of the Barista/Café English course to be eligible for a 70% refund. All placements include international internship insurance with Guard.me Insurance (QBE Insurance).
