Impact English College’s ‘Melbourne Cambridge Examination Centre’ is an Authorised Exam Centre for Cambridge Assessment English.
It is an Internal Exam Centre, and as such administers exams exclusively for students of Impact English College.
This means that all our students undertake their exams in a familiar environment, and with expert guidance in their preparation for these exams, and with all procedures and requirements.
The exam centre is authorised to administer examinations at both the Melbourne and Brisbane campuses on behalf of Cambridge Assessment English.
Currently, the Exam Centre offers the following exams to students of Impact English College’s Cambridge Preparation Courses.
- B2 First (formerly first Certificate in English or FCE)
- C1 Advanced (formerly Certificate in Advanced English or CAE)

Cambridge Assessment English certificates are trusted by over 12,000 organisations globally and the C1 Advanced certificate is also recognised by the Department of Home Affairs (DHA) as evidence of English language skills for all Australian Visas.
All leading universities in Australia recognise the C1 Advanced certificate for entry into a variety of courses. A pass grade of C is equivalent to an IELTS score of 6.7. View Cambridge English Scale here.
A certificate for B2 First is recognised for entry into all Australian TAFE courses normally requiring IELTS 5.5 entry.
Both of these courses are part of the Impact English College pathway program, and even without exam results, students who successfully complete these courses can obtain direct entry into our pathway partner institutions, depending on the entry requirements. For more information, please contact us.
